Myspace Layouts and Cool Stuff - Spice it Up!
August 6th, 2008 | by Karen Bird |It is very easy to spice up your MySpace page to make it as unique and reflective of your personality as possible. Myspace is, after all, the most popular social networking site on the internet and you’ll need to look good for the prom (so to speak). Your MySpace profile should represent you so your friends can have a good idea of who you are and your interests.
There are many different layouts and layout generators (discussed in last paragraph) for you to choose from when personalizing your MySpace page. This includes pretty layouts, polka dot layouts, sports layouts, celebrity layouts, religious layouts, simple layouts, and more! No matter what type of personality you have, it is very easy to spice up your MySpage page to make it stand out.
When you find a pre-made MySpace layout that you like, you will see the a code underneath it. All you have to do is copy and paste that code into your ‘about me’ box, click on ’save’, and that’s it! It is very simple. You can do the same thing with all the pre-made MySpace stuff such as tweaks, contact tables, banners, games and graphics, to name a few. It very common for MySpacers to change their layouts often.
There are new MySpace trends that are becoming very popular. For instance, many people now like to insert premade comment codes, whore me codes, buy me codes, hiding friends lists and quiz apps. The whore me code generators are fun to post as a bulletin. You encourage your friends to share your profile with their friends.
The premade comment code will put a comment box on your MySpace page where your friends can leave you random comments anonymously. While it is a fun idea, you are at the mercy of your friends. The ‘music play list apps’ allows you to have numerous songs play on your site rather then the same one each time.
Speaking of friends, another popular MySpace trend is using a ‘hide friends code’ which will hide your friends list. Some people like using a hide friends code because that way there isn’t any favouritism amongst friends for the top eight. Is it also a good idea for protecting your friends identities.
If you ever have trouble getting MySpace tweaks to work, there are sites that offer easy to understand tutorials. If you would like to make your own layout but don’t know how to use Photoshop, you can use a MySpace generator. All you have to do is enter the colors you want for your background, contact table, text, font size, etc. and the generator will create a code for you based on your instruction.
There are many sources out there that will help you make your MySpace page look sick (sick in a cool way)!
